Next Sunday’s Questions for Acts 23 & 24

Some questions we’ll be pondering next week as we continue our study of Acts 23:

Why did the Roman tribune need so many soldiers to take care of Paul? (Verse 23)

(Imagine the expense that went into that!)

Verse 27: was the Tribune completely honest about what happened when he rescued Paul?

Verse 29: what was the Tribune’s assessment of Paul’s guilt or innocence?

Verse 24:1: why is it said that Paul’s accusers “descended” from Jerusalem?

24:5: what is Paul accused of? And what is the name that they were calling the early Christians? And why were they calling them by that title?

24:14: how does Paul explain that what’s he’s teaching is nothing new?

24:15: what similarity is there between what Paul is teaching and that which his accusers teach?

24:26: what was Felix hoping for from Paul?
